HAM & CHEESE BOMBS
1 bomb: 72 Calories; 6.3 g Total Fat (2 g Mono, 0.9 g Poly, 3.1 g Sat); 17 mg Cholesterol; 1 g Carbohydrate; trace Fibre; 3 g Protein; 158 mg Sodium







Block of cream cheese, softened 8 oz. 250 g
Finely chopped lean ham (about 3 oz, 85g) 2/3 cup 150 mL
Grated medium Cheddar cheese 1/2 cup 125 mL
Soy sauce 1 tsp. 5 mL
     
Sesame seeds, toasted until deep golden (see Note) 1/2 cup 125 mL
Finely chopped fresh parsley 1 tbsp. 15 mL
Parsley stems (with leaves) 24 24


Mix first 4 ingredients in medium bowl. Roll into balls, using 1 tbsp. (15 mL) for each.

Combine sesame seeds and chopped parsley in small shallow dish. Roll each ball until well coated. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Chill for at least 2 hours until firm and up to 2 days in airtight container.

Put 1 parsley stem into each ball to resemble fuse just before serving. Makes about 24 bombs.

Note: To toast sesame seeds, place in single layer in ungreased shallow pan. Bake in 350ºF (175ºC) oven for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring or shaking often, until desired doneness.
