Servings 4 people

Ingredients

  • 4 Alberta Pork Loin Chops, Bone-In
  • 1 tbsp Western Family Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Western Family Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Western Family Butter
  • 1/4 cup Western Family Liquid Honey
  • 1/4 cup Western Family Chicken Broth
  • 2 tbsp Western Family White Vinegar
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven broiler (or grill) on medium-high heat. Season Alberta Pork Loin Chops with salt, pepper and 1/2 garlic powder. Allow to cure in the fridge for at least one hour, but up to 18 hours.
  • Heat oil in an oven-safe pan over medium high heat. When hot, sear Alberta Pork Loin Chops on both sides (approximately 4-5 minutes each side), working in batches if necessary. Transfer to a plate; set aside.
  • Reduce heat to medium. Melt butter in the same pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Add honey, water, vinegar, and the other half of the garlic powder. Increase heat to medium-high and continue to cook until the sauce reduces down and thickens, stirring occasionally.
  • Add Alberta Pork Loin Chops back into the pan, baste generously with the sauce and broil for 1-2 minutes in the oven. Alternatively, grill, brushing with sauce until edges are slightly charred.
